SCRFU Online Identification is now required for all league matches in SCRFU. Online Identification is used for verifying match rosters, age restrictions, and ensuring no more than the permitted number of Non US residents play in a match.

How to use the Online ID System.

The cost for each application (or renewal) is $5 and is performed online through the SCRFU Match Report system by a club administrator. A physical ID card is no longer issued, the Photo ID is printed on page 3 of the SCRFU match reports.

Identification is valid for three (3) years from date of issuance, or yearly depending on division regulations.

Individuals should provide to their club:

  • A. ID Photo - a digital (JPG) passport sized photo
  • B. ID Proof - a digital (JPG) copy of a legal picture ID
  • C. Residency Proof - proof of US residency or school enrollment (depending on SCRFU division requirements)
A copy of the picture page of a US passport, or US residency (green) card is sufficient for both B and C.
Not NOT upload the same document for both B and C.

DO NOT SEND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD INFORMATION. Possessing a S.S. card is not proof of residency and asking for it violates privacy statutes.

ID Photo Guidelines

  • Photo must be in color and not copied/scanned from other documents
  • Head should be positioned directly facing the camera
  • Photo should capture from slightly above top of hair to middle of chest
  • Eyes should be open and looking at the camera
  • Background should be plain white or off-white, black background is NOT acceptable
  • Eyeglasses should NOT be worn
  • Headcoverings should NOT be worn i.e. scrumcaps should be removed
Warning: If your photo is rejected you will have a limited opportunity to resubmit the photo before the application is subject to another application fee.

File Size Guidelines

Digital photo's can be cropped to include only head and chest/shoulders and be about 300x300 pixels resolution (50-60 KB JPG file). Do not crop them so severely that they cannot be cropped again.

Other documents should be 50KB - 150KB in size (JPG, PNG or GIF files), but must be legible or the application will be rejected. Rejected applications may be subject to another application fee.

To assist in editing or conversion of digital documents into formats and sizes/resolution required, it is suggested that club administrators download freeware called Irfanview at: http://www.irfanview.com
Using Irfanview, it's easy to do cropping and bulk image conversions and resizing.
